Fantasia Barrino Wows in Orange for Rare Appearance with Daughter on Eve of Big Golden Globes Night

Fantasia Barrino-Taylor is red-carpet ready. (And no, we’re not just talking about the 2024 Golden Globes.)

Last night, the Color Purple star, 39, attended the Astra Film Awards in Los Angeles, where she wore a stunning orange dress by Yousef Akbar. After the awards show, Barrino shared a series of photos on Instagram that were taken by professional photographer Salvatore Ian DeMaio—one of the slideshows featured a rare picture of her husband, Kendall Taylor, and her 2-year-old daughter, Keziah.

Barrino wore a gorgeous orange gown with material that gathered at her left shoulder. Her husband opted for a pin-stripe suit, while her daughter rocked a plaid skirt, a red blouse and white tights.

She captioned the post, “Happy Golden Day [twinkle emoji] Taylor Family.”

Another post showed Taylor kissing his wife’s hand, along with the caption, “[orange heart emoji] Black Royalty [orange heart emoji].”

Last but not least, Barrino shared a slideshow of solo photos, including a full-length shot followed by two close-ups. She wrote, “C•O•U•T•U•R•E [orange heart emoji].”

The appearance came just one day before Barrino was set to attend the 2024 Golden Globe Awards. Barrino is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) for her portrayal of Celie in The Color Purple. The movie is based on the 1982 novel by Alice Walker, along with the 1985 film.

The actress is being recognized along with her co-star, Danielle Brooks, who's nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Any Motion Picture.

We can’t wait to see what Barrino has in store for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.
