  • Last weekend, Carrie Underwood honored Barbara Mandrell’s 50th Grand Ole Opry anniversary by performing her classic songs.

  • The “Cowboy Casanova” singer stunned on stage in a gilded gown.

  • Fans loved the show and her dress.

July 30 was a special day for Carrie Underwood and country music legend Barbara Mandrell. The “Cowboy Casanova” singer had the honor of joining Mandrell on stage at the Grand Ole Opry to celebrate her 50th anniversary as an Opry member. As always, her voice—and renditions of Mandrell’s classics—was nothing short of amazing, nor was her gorgeous gilded gown.

Underwood shared photos from the evening on Instagram, writing: “Last night, I had the honor of celebrating @barbaramandrellmusic’s 50th anniversary of being an @opry member. What a joy it was to sing her songs and to feel the love that her amazing fans and the other artists showered her with! Thank you, Barbara, for being you and for continuing to show us all how it’s done! Love you!”

Fans adored the special moment between country music queens. “You did an amazing job honoring her!!! ❤️❤️❤️ You truly are the queen of honoring Classic Country music and keeping the sound of our ladies in country alive!!!” one person commented. “It was a great show!! Loved that gold dress!” another added. “It was such an amazing show, loved every moment. being able to witness this special tribute will be a bucket list moment for me💗,” someone else wrote.

Before the show, Underwood shared a throwback photo of herself with Mandrell. “Can’t wait to honor one of my heroes, @barbaramandrellmusic, at the @opry in celebration of her 50th Opry anniversary!” she captioned the post.

The American Idol winner has spent a lot of time at the Opry as of late—having recently performed the Patty Loveless hit, “Blame It On Your Heart,” as part of a special Opry program dedicated to ’90s country. And she did it wearing an incredible ruffled and bejeweled lilac gown, no less.

Fans will be delighted to know that she’s not finished with her Opry run just yet. The star recently announced she’ll be back for two shows in August. “We’ve sure had some fun at the Opry this year, so let’s keep it going,” she said in an Instagram video. “I’ll be back on the Opry stage for two nights in a row, August 19th and 20th.”

There’s no doubt her style for the next gig will be just as jaw-dropping as it was for the last.
