Fans Say It's 'Weird' Scott Disick Gifted Flowers to Ex-Sis-in-Law Khloe Kardashian

• The gifts included flowers from her former in-law Scott Disick, who she said she loved "more than you know."

• Internet commenters decided somebody sending flowers to a former in-law for their birthday was "weird" because the complexities of human emotions and relationships are too much for the internet to comprehend.

Kardashian fans are going off about a "weird" Kardashian relationship, and sadly for all of us, it's not them being reflective about their own weird parasocial relationship with the Kardashians.

Instead, their grave concern is the bond between Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick. It all started when Khloe, a 39-year-old adult capable of making her own decisions, posted an Instagram story showcasing the gifts she had gotten from various friends and family. Amidst those were flowers from Disick, a 40-year-old adult capable of having friendships with people, even if they're connected to people he had previously been involved with.

Khloe confirmed the flowers were from Disick by including the caption, "I love @letthelordbewithyou more than you know." The username @letthelordbewithyou is Scott Disick's username because he's a 40-year-old divorced dude with a Rolls-Royce, so of course, it is.

But "divorced" is the critical factor in this internet controversy. Because if you only have a peripheral knowledge of the Kardashians, you might think Scott Disick is divorced from Khloe Kardashian and say, "What's wrong with exes reconnecting?"

But you see, it was not Khloe to whom Scott Disick was married, but her sister Kourtney. We'll spell it out: Khloe got a birthday gift from her sister's ex-husband.

And maybe now you're thinking, "OK? So? What's the big deal with her still having a connection with Disick? He's the father of her nieces and nephews, and ex-in-law-ness aside, the two have shared a long history, having rocketed to fame on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and so he's likely one of the few people with whom she can commiserate about the rollercoaster ride of fame and controversy she's been on for the last 15 years. And in the end, we're all just people. People who can contain multitudes. It's wildly unhealthy to consistently ex-communicate people for a single action or transgression, and it's even more unhealthy to fixate on the actions of others and police their behavior based solely on a social media post."

Well, if so, clearly, you came of age before the advent of social media and never learned the adrenaline rush of ripping the private lives of random people asunder to cast judgment. It's a real thrill.

Just look at the commenters on the Reddit post about it, declaring it "weird," saying it a betrayal by noting, "If I was Kourtney id y so fed up [sic] and pissed you keep choosing my ex and baby daddy over me, your own blood sister." Of course, a flood of commenters declaring that the two are definitely hooking up.

Sure, folks online could just let people live their lives, but where's the fun in that, right?
