Gwen Stefani is embarking on her next music career chapter — and it doesn’t involve her husband and fellow Voice coach Blake Shelton.

On May 27, the No Doubt leading lady announced the release of a new song with reggae rapper Sean Paul and singer Shenseea titled “Light My Fire.” The news comes more than a year after the Grammy-winning vocalist put out two new singles, reminding fans of her ska-pop hits from the early 2000s “Let Me Reintroduce Myself” and “Slow Clap.” Now, the returning Voice coach is returning to her roots once again with the help of the renowned reggae artist.

“It’s finally here!!!! 🤩,” Gwen captioned an Instagram Reel previewing the new song. “I had so much fun recording “Light My Fire” with these two @duttypaul @SHENYENG and it’s finally [yours] to listen to and love ❤️.”

After hearing Gwen’s exciting collaboration, many were reminded of her early solo career days and couldn’t get enough of it. Unsurprisingly, tons of Voice fans rushed over to her Instagram comments section with fire emojis.

“🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 take me back to 2005,” one person wrote. “I’ve been listening to it on repeat it’s sooo gooood got me dancinggggg 🔥,” another added. “Total rock steady vibes and perfect to listen to this summer. You never disappoint ❤️,” a different fan said.

Over the past few years, Gwen has explored the country music genre alongside Blake since the two became a couple in 2015. Together, they’ve released a handful of duets, including “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” “You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” “Nobody But You” and “Happy Anywhere.” While Gwen still gets up on stage with Blake to perform their heartwarming tracks, the mother of three is getting ready for her first solo album in nearly a decade.

Speaking with Variety in April 2021, Gwen confessed that she had “insecurities” about being in the spotlight again but having the support of her fanbase pushed her to put her best foot forward.

“I just feel so lucky to be doing it and I feel excited for the people that listen to my music because this record really considers what they might want,” she told the outlet. “They are purely my inspiration for it because I’m counting on them. You spend all this time writing this music, so you want someone to listen to it.”
