The latest Marvel rumor? Taylor Swift is joining the X-Men.

The singer, who is fast becoming a fixture at Kansas City Chiefs games due to her budding relationship with NFL tight end Travis Kelce, was photographed enjoying Sunday Night Football with some of her famous pals—including several stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Swift watched the Chiefs go up against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, accompanied by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Reynolds is due to make his MCU debut in the upcoming Deadpool 3, and announced last year that Jackman will be reprising the role of Wolverine in the movie.

Ant-Man actor Paul Rudd was at the game too, making it a superhero trifecta.

Also present were Reynolds' wife Blake Lively, whose birthday celebrations Swift attended the day prior, Queer Eye cast member Antoni Porowski, singer Sabrina Carpenter, and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, who has been hanging out with Swift since her split from Joe Jonas, with whom they have both been involved. Turner has had her own stint in the X-Men universe, playing telepathic mutant Jean Grey across two movies—X-Men: Apocalypse and X-Men: Dark Phoenix—in Fox's n0w-defunct version of the franchise.

Of course, it is entirely possible that Swift was just hanging out with some of her famous friends because that's what celebrities do. But the fact that she seemed to be spending a lot of the evening chatting and laughing with Deadpool himself has piqued the interest of Swifties and Marvel fans alike, and prompted speculation that she might be making a cameo in the superhero sequel.

Rumors have abounded for a while that Swift will make an appearance in a Marvel movie, and the consensus seems to be that she is an ideal fit to play Dazzler, a singer from the comics whose powers enable her to create light and energy beams with her voice, and who is an on-off member of the X-Men.

Swift's acting resume already includes small roles in David O. Russell's Amsterdam, the much-maligned screen adaptation of the musical Cats, and voice work on The Lorax. She also appeared in All Too Well: The Short Film, which she wrote and directed.
