Fans Think Shawn Mendes and Miley Cyrus Are Set to Collaborate On a New Song

Miley may be busy living it up with her new boyfriend, Cody Simpson, but that doesn't mean she hasn't been hard at work on some new bops. Though Miley teased her upcoming album She Is Miley Cyrus a few months ago, it seems like we finally have a release date and a possible tracklist. It also looks like Miley is delivering something fans have endlessly been waiting on: a collaboration with Shawn Mendes. The two have worked together before. At the 2019 Grammys, Miley joined Shawn on stage for a performance of his hit song, "In My Blood."

Miley revealed the info about her upcoming album during an Instagram live session with Cody. In the live session, Miley's camera briefly shows a whiteboard filled with details about the new album. On the white board, the date November 23 is also written, possibly alluding to when it will be released.

Fans think that the track Miley and Shawn have been working on is apparently called "Play With Fire." "Play With Fire" appears as the sixth track on the list of songs show in Miley's Instagram live.

Miley and Shawn first fueled rumors of a collaboration when they were spotted at the same studio back in February. When a fan account then posted a photo of the two with a caption about the rumors that Shawn and Miley were working together, Miley actually commented a heart emoji on the post, seemingly confirming the rumors.

Though Miley has yet to verbally confirm whether her new album will feature a Shawn Mendes collab, fans think it's pretty certain.

Back in July, Miley also opened up to Elle about the meaning behind the album's name. "My record is called She Is Miley Cyrus. 'She' does not represent a gender. She is not just a woman. 'She' doesn't refer to a vagina. She is a force of nature. She is power. She can be anything you want to be, therefore, she is everything. She is the super she. She is the she-ro. She is the She-E-O," Miley told them.

November 23 is only a few weeks away, so all will (possibly) be revealed soon.
