Fans Think Jessica Simpson Might Have Revealed Her Daughter’s Name at Her Baby Shower
Jessica Simpson may have already revealed the name of her unborn daughter. The singer-turned-fashion designer, who’s expecting her third child with husband Eric Johnson, celebrated the baby girl’s imminent arrival at a baby shower over the weekend, and appeared to drop some hints about what they’ll call her.
In a series of pics posted to Instagram, Simpson and her family can be seen posing together in front of a neon sign that reads “Birdie’s Nest” — a label Simpson also used as the caption for several photos. In some close-up snaps of the decor, the word “Birdie” appears yet again, including on the menus, which read, “A little Birdie told me…Stuff your beaks!”
The photos certainly hint at a strong recurring theme, and fans were quick to note the capitalization of “Birdie.” Simpson has not confirmed the speculation, but a source told Entertainment Tonight that Birdie is indeed the name she has chosen for her daughter-to-be.
The unique name already has a few other fans in Hollywood: Both Busy Philipps’ 10-year-old daughter and Brie Bella Bella’s 1-year-old daughter share the moniker.
Simpson first revealed that she and Johnson were expecting their third child in September. At the time, the fashion mogul posted a pair of photos featuring giant polka-dot balloons being popped to reveal smaller, pink balloons inside.
“This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” she captioned the post. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.” The new baby will join older sister Maxwell “Maxi,” 6, and big brother Ace, 5.
