Fans Think Gwen Stefani Looks 'Unrecognizable' In New Beauty Promo Pics

Gwen Stefani often stuns fans with her ageless beauty and radiant look at 53, and often promotes new products for her GXVE Beauty line on Instagram. After the makeup mogul and Grammy winner uploaded new promotional photos for her brand to IG this month, some followers, however, are deeming her “unrecognizable” or “looking different” when wearing her new highlighter and bronzer products.

While many are complimenting the “Hollaback Girl” singer’s “timeless beauty” and “gorgeousness,” others in the new GXVE Beauty posts’ comment section are expressing their disdain for “PhotoShop and retouching,” as some are claiming that these images aren’t “what they seem to be,” and wish that they showed “real skin texture.”

On May 6th, Stefani’s brand uploaded a 3-part IG carousel post that included one close-up shot of Stefani and two isolated pics of the line’s new ‘Multi-Dimensional Illuminating Highlighter’ and ‘Cream Contour & Powder Bronzer Duo.’ In the first pic, the “Sweet Escape” hitmaker can be seen with radiant, glowing skin, contoured cheekbones, full, glossy lips, and black liner with voluminous lashes.

While there’s no doubt that her makeup looks exquisite and glamorous in the image, some commenters began claiming that the skin makeup didn’t look “real,” as one wrote. “Try not photoshopping the skin texture so much when selling cosmetics,” another added, “why can’t we be honest with consumers and everyone?”

Someone else chimed in with a similar sentiment: “She doesn’t look like that.” One other replied, “I’m really missing your old face” as another wrote, “LOLOLOLOL to the ridiculous over the top photoshopping.” 

Others, however, weren’t convinced that the images were too edited, as Stefani was promoting makeup and not an all-natural, bare-faced look or anything, after all. “She looks beautiful,” one commented as another wrote, “I am so here for this. Honestly, every product I’ve tried has been great.” Someone else joined in, “So excited! @gxvebeauty always has the best quality.”

Comments were overwhelmingly positive this time. “YAY!!!!!! so beautiful” one fan wrote with heart-eyes emojis as another added, “It’s a NEED” and someone else saying that it “worked well” on their “fair skin.”

Ultimately, Stefani is no stranger to fan photoshop claims or plastic surgery rumors, but as another fan commented under one of the posts, “she still looks undeniably good” and has definitely solidified herself as a “makeup and style icon.”
