One recent sighting of Bradley Cooper in New York City has sparked speculation amongst fans on Instagram that the A Star Is Born actor may have lost weight and that he “looks different” than usual. Observations about his appearance ranged from comments on his shaved head possibly creating a slimming effect, to social media users noting that he seems “skinnier” than ever before.

During his recent stroll in the city, the Oscar winner, 48, sported a white long-sleeved top, blue jeans, black sneakers, matching shades and a baseball cap of the same hue, all of which were photographed by fans. One IG user @elderordonez1 uploaded a video of the Silver Linings Playbook alum while walking, and many began discussing his appearance in the September 7th post comment section.

Did Bradley Cooper Recently Lose Weight? Fans On Instagram Think So

One fan commented beneath the post that Cooper looked “almost unrecognizable” in the clip. Another added: “Skinny! Very strange!” Someone else chimed in: “What the hell happened?? He looks skinny AF. Is it for a role?” One other noted: “He looks like he shaved his hair off though new movie, possibly?”

On September 6th, Cooper was spotted with his ex, supermodel Irina Shayk, in New York City as the former couple brought their 6-year-old daughter Lea to her first day of school. Cooper’s head seemed shaved, and he wore a dark baseball cap over it. He also added sunglasses, a blue t-shirt, matching shorts and grey sneakers while holding hands with his child.

The father of one's seemingly "trimmer" frame (as one fan put it) was also put on full display with his fitted outfit. Shayk donned an oversized black hoodie with black-knee-high boots and shades while holding Lea's hand.

While Cooper has yet to comment on the weight loss speculation, he is no stranger to impressive transformations for film roles. In preparation for his role as the robust Navy SEAL Chris Kyle in the 2014 film American Sniper, Cooper was required to gain a considerable amount of weight, specifically 40 pounds.

The trailer for his upcoming flick Maestro was also shared last month, and Cooper will star as legendary conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein. In new clips from the forthcoming film, Cooper can be seen wearing a prosthetic nose that made fans do a double take.

Maestro is scheduled for release on December 20th on Netflix and will be shown in select theaters from November 22nd, with its premiere taking place on October 2nd at New York's David Geffen Hall as part of the New York Film Festival, where Bernstein once conducted the New York Philharmonic for more than ten years.
