Fans Can’t Get Over How Identical Reese Witherspoon and Daughter Ava Look in New IG

Reese Witherspoon and her daughter Ava Phillippe look like sisters in a new Instagram.
The pair posed on the beach and, in one photo, Phillippe fixes her mom’s makeup.
“Love sharing sunsets with my girl 💞,” Witherspoon captioned the post.
Reese Witherspoon and her daughter Ava Phillippe have always looked alike—but the older Phillippe gets (she’s currently 22), the more they look like twins instead of a mother-daughter duo. Witherspoon shared a sunset beach portrait of the two of them over the weekend, and fans couldn’t get over how much they look like sisters... or dare we even say twins?
Witherspoon posted two photos on Instagram. In the first, the pair wore wide smiles, and Phillippe—who has previously rocked pink hair—wore tousled blonde locks that made her resemblance to her mom that much more uncanny. Witherspoon wore a beachy white dress and Phillippe, an emerald green number.
In the second candid shot, Phillippe paused her pose to make sure her mom’s makeup looked picture perfect. “Love sharing sunsets with my girl 💞*esp when she fixes my makeup 🥰,” Witherspoon captioned the post.
Fans and followers obviously loved the sweet family moment. “Your sister is so beautiful 😍😉😘,” one person commented. “The twinning!!! 😍😍😍” another added. “You TWO!!!!!!!! Absolutely lovely ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” someone else wrote.
Phillippe and her mom have always been close. On Mother’s Day, she shared a throwback photo from her childhood to celebrate their bond. “happy happy mother’s day to my gorgeous, thoughtful, strong, & fun mama! I am so lucky to love & be loved by a mom like you. ❤️♾️,” she captioned the post.
Witherspoon had Phillippe when she was 22 years old, and went on to have her second and third children, Deacon and Tennessee, at 27 and 37, respectively. The Morning Show star has previously opened up about having kids young—and she’s glad her family came together the way it did.
“I find having little kids is more physical and it’s just really hard on your body. So I am glad that I had kids kind of young,” she admitted on her YouTube channel in 2019. “I had one at 23, one at 27 and then again at 37. And, oh, my God, having a baby at 37 was so much harder. This is just me being real. Everybody’s life experience, you have to do when it’s right for you.”
Now, at 46, Witherspoon is enjoying every milestone her kids meet (most recently, her son Deacon graduated high school) while keeping busy as a multi-talented actor and movie producer. Her latest project, Where the Crawdads Sing, is in theaters July 13. So, more likely than not, that beach vacation is much needed.
