Fans Are Super Convinced Justin Bieber Was Lip Syncing at Coachella Last Night

  • Fans think Justin Bieber was lip syncing during his surprise Coachella appearance with Ariana Grande last night.

  • He teased a new album while he was up there, FYI.

Justin Bieber surprised fans last night by hopping into Ariana Grande’s headliner set at Coachella to perform his song “Sorry.” Most of them were pumped, but some people very quickly pointed out they thought he was lip syncing.

Naturally, they went IN on him for it on Twitter, especially Ariana’s fans who were less than thrilled that Justin was part of her set.

One user wrote, “So justin bieber was really lip syncing at Coachella so embarrassing.” An angrier fan added, “Justin Bieber lip syncing, then taking the mic away to (sic) early, then the production team having to last minute turn Bieber’s back tracking off so he could sing it live, only to butcher all the notes is a MOMENT #arichella.”

Yikes, okay, here’s another one, “ariana grande brought out justin bieber and he is lip syncing and he FULLY just missed his cue and got exposed.”

In total fairness, Justin did make a comment while he was up there that he didn’t even know he was going to be on the stage last night, which would mean he didn’t have any time to rehearse.

“I came out here, I had no idea I was going to be on stage tonight. Absolutely no idea. I wore this fly outfit not knowing that I was gonna be on stage,” he said. “So anyways this is my first time on stage in like two years, so I had to get my groove back. I had to get my swag back, you know what I’m saying? So thank you so much Coachella. Thank you so much to Ariana Grande.”

That doesn’t necessarily confirm the lip syncing though. Watch the vids and decide for yourself:

He finished his thank you by saying, “And by the way, album coming soon,” which is MAJOR.
