Jennifer Lopez posted photos from a naked photoshoot to her Instagram on Sunday to celebrate her 53 birthday.
The superstar has looked to other older stars for inspiration over the years and says she feels “amazing and happier than ever.”
Lopez says her new husband Ben Affleck and her self-care routine help her feel the most beautiful.
A week after her whirlwind Las Vegas wedding to Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez is celebrating her 53rd birthday in a very revealing way. The superstar shared an Instagram reel to her page on Sunday in honor of her 53rd birthday, but she bares all and poses completely naked for the photo shoot.
The Hustlers star can be seen posing nude in the still cover on her Instagram feed. It’s instantly clear that she is strong (can you see those back and ab muscles?), and her skin is absolutely glowing. When followers click to view the full Instagram reels video, the actress can be seen posing in a few quick shots while she wears a skin-tight, cut-out black bodysuit. Her entire back and booty are exposed, looking smooth and glowy as ever.
Even though she’s another year older, the Love Don’t Cost a Thing singer doesn’t let age define her in any way. In fact, the singer is confident she has a lot more to offer the world.
“‘Beauty has no expiration date’ was always my personal mantra because I’m in a business where youth is glorified and people try to write, especially women, off at a certain time,” she told People. “It’s like, ‘Oh, you’re done. No more movies for you. We don’t want your music anymore.’ Growing up, I looked up to people like Diana Ross and Cher and Tina Turner, and they were in their 50s and they were beautiful and almost coming into their own at the time.”
The singer also wants to nix the negative talk around older women entirely and embrace simply looking and feeling good, no matter your age. “I believe you can look and feel amazing and sexy at any age. I really dislike the phrase, ‘You look good for 40, or you look good for 50.’ How about you just ‘you look good?’”
In fact, Lopez feels that she is thriving at her age, and has no intention of stopping anytime soon. “I am the age I am, but I feel amazing and happier than ever. I feel like I’m just at my halftime right now and just getting started,” she said.
And how does the Made in Manhattan star keep her health and body in tip-top shape into her 50s? Her self-care routine is her saving grace. “I feel most confident when I’m getting my sleep, practicing my affirmations, and doing my skincare, fitness, and eating routines,” she said in the interview. “When I’m out of rhythm, I’m not myself.”
Plus, the support from her now-husband Ben Affleck helps her feel confident and sexy in any scenario. “He is like, ‘I like you when you have nothing on. No hair on, no makeup on, just you in your own skin,” she said. “He really appreciates that. And that makes me feel really confident and beautiful. Someone can see the essence of who you are and just the skin that you’re in and that I take care of that and that he appreciates that. That makes me feel really beautiful too.”
