Céline Dion is looking forward to getting back on stage but unfortunately, it's not time yet.

Back in October 2021, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer had to put her highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency on hold following “unforeseen medical symptoms.” Since then, the 54-year-old icon’s health had been improving, so much so that she scheduled a European leg of her Courage World Tour. Though she was excited to kick it off later this summer, Céline recently revealed that there had to be schedule changes made due to her well-being.

“I'm so sorry that we have to change our tour plans for Europe one more time," she said in a three-minute Instagram video posted on April 29. "First, we had to move the shows because of the pandemic. Now, [it’s] my health issues causing us to postpone some shows and unfortunately, we have to cancel some too."

Céline continued: “The good news is that I am doing a little bit better but it's going very slow and it's very frustrating for me. I'm getting treatment from my doctors, taking medication but I'm still experiencing some spasms and it's taking a lot longer for me to recover than I had hoped."

"I need to be in top shape when I'm on stage. I honestly can't wait, but I’m just not there yet," she concluded. "I want you to know that I'm sorry for this news. I know you've waited so long for the concerts and I appreciate your loyalty ... I'm doing my very best to get back to the level that I need to be, so that I can give 100% at my shows because that's what you deserve.”

While Céline’s exact diagnosis is unclear, a fall 2021 press release detailed that she was experiencing “severe and persistent muscle spasms,” which prevented her from being able to perform. Although fans from all over the world have been looking forward to her doing just that, many didn't hesitate to rally behind her in support.

“Take care, we'll wait! Your health is definitely the priority,” one person wrote in the artist's comments section. “We will dance together soon! We love you so much. Take care Madame! ❤️,” another added. “Your health comes first! Everyone will understand! Wishing you great health! ❤️,” a different fan said.

At the moment, new 2023 tour dates are being posted on Celine’s website and there are some still waiting to be announced. In the meantime, we hope the "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" vocalist is getting all the rest she needs knowing that she's in everyone's thoughts.
