Reba McEntire fans are offering their condolences after the singer shared some truly sad news on Instagram.

The Big Sky actress has been on a role recently as her career continues to soar. With an iconic performance at this year's CMA Awards, a Grammy nomination, and a starring role in an ABC drama series, Reba's career remains one of the most impressive in country music. Despite the recent celebratory moments, the singer and her boyfriend Rex Linn are in the process of mourning a beloved member of their family.

The "The Heart Won't Lie" singer and Rex shared a heartbreaking post on Instagram stating that her "Angel delivered" pup named Riddler passed away on Wednesday, November 16. In a caption that read, "If we’re really lucky, an Angel will place something in our laps that will affect us for a lifetime…and we got really lucky," the 67-year-old posted a series of black and white photos to commemorate her beloved French bulldog.

She continued by writing, "Only seven years old, lymphoma took his life less than three weeks after diagnosis. He was a GRAND CHAMPION in the Show Ring, but a grander one in life. He impacted everyone that came across his path. He was a good man to ride the river with, the Best."

Following the somber post, fans immediately rushed to the singer's comment section to offer their condolences with messages like:

  • "So sorry for your loss. Riddler was so loved and I'm sure he knew it!! Sending so much love. RIP Riddler❤️"

  • "Guys I am so sorry! Sending lots of love your way ❤️❤️❤️"

  • "ur babies are family. Sorry for your loss"

Longtime friend and fellow country singer Trisha Yearwood also took the time to send her best wishes by writing, "You loved him well, and he loved you back. That’s what we all want. Love you and rest well sweet Riddler. ❤️ 🐾"

With a tour and upcoming Christmas special on Lifetime, we're sending our deepest condolences to Reba and Rex because we can all definitely agree that losing our four-legged friend is never easy.
