When Kelly Clarkson picks up the mic, she can do no wrong.

For her latest KellyokeThe Kelly Clarkson Show's version of karaoke—cover, she took on Candi Staton's 1976-released track, "Young Hearts Run Free."

Fans always seem to be amazed at how much soul Clarkson brings to her renditions of already iconic songs, and this time was no different.

Her version, featuring her show's band, My Band Y'all, was posted in a YouTube video on April 3, and music-lovers didn't hesitate to drop their reactions to the performance in the comments of the upload.

"The way she sings all these covers so effortlessly is mesmerizing. I feel like I’m always making the same comments, but it’s true, she’s incredible," one fan wrote, while another said, "Kelly slaying the vocals as always!️"

Another appreciated the personal twist she added to the song, commending the Since You've Been Gone artist with: "I love the modern touch she did with this song, the original is beautiful and Kelly did justice."

Clarkson recently wowed fans in a surprise duet with fellow pop star P!nk at the 2023 iHeart Music Awards, following an official announcement she's working on a new album days earlier.

"It is finally time to tell you I've been working on this project for…well, close to three years now and I wasn't sure I was going to release it but I am," Clarkson said of her new album, titled Chemistry. "This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship, and a whole relationship shouldn't be brought down to one thing. So there's the good, the bad, and the ugly kind of thing going on in it."
