Fans of 'The Morning Show,' Here's What You Need to Know About the Show's Future

The Morning Show season 3 is in full swing on Apple TV+ with ALL the drama we were hoping for. The soapy drama has captured the attention of countless viewers with a mix of news room drama, romantic relationships and of course Hollywood A-lister stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. As the third season continues to drop in waves on the streamer, you may be wondering what to expect after the season 3 finale.

With so much uncertainty in the world of film and television, we're glad to have some confirmation on the future of The Morning Show. Ahead of the Season 3 release, The Morning Show got the green light for an early renewal for Season 4, Variety reported in April. Renewing the Apple TV+ favorite was a no-brainer as the series has proven it has quality writing and acting, winning an Emmy, a SAG award, and a Critics' Choice Award.

News of the renewal came before the start of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, which has halted production of nearly every movie and TV show in the works. The writers' and actors' strikes continue, which puts the fate of The Morning Show into question. Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston not only star in the show, but co-produce it, and if these two don't have any sway in Hollywood, we don't know who does. That being said, we think if Witherspoon and Aniston continue to want to make the show, season 4 will happen, though it might be delayed.

"We thrive and it's quite – dare I say it – easy. It's such a pleasant set to be on," Aniston told Variety in 2022.

So far, the series has followed a new season every other year schedule. If this continues, we can expect season 4 sometime in 2025, which seems plausible even with the ongoing strikes. We expect other cast favorites including Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Julianna Margulies, Jon Hamm, and Nicole Beharie to return in the next season. As for the plot of Season 4, only time will tell. The Morning Show often discusses real life events in their fictional newscast like the Me Too movement or big election news, so current events may be a good indicator. Of course, we will have to wait until all of season 3 is out to make predictions of the characters' personal lives and all the other drama.
