Fans took to social media to congratulate her and share their opinions about the performance.
Although the New York Mets lost at their home stadium, Jessie James Decker was victorious with her powerful performance of the National Anthem.
Walking into the middle of a baseball stadium to belt out a song with tons of history and meaning sounds beyond stressful. However, only a few people get to do so on national television. Now, combine that stellar accomplishment with killer vocals and a picture perfect appearance. That's when you get Jessie James Decker's recent live performance.
Yesterday, the "Should Have Known Better" singer posted a snippet of her National Anthem performance on Instagram while sporting a Mets jersey and captioned the video with: "Always an honor to sing the national anthem🇺🇸 Thank you so much for having me out @mets and for all the hospitality❤️."
Fans quickly took to the comments to congratulate Jessie and rave about her vocals. "That's how it's done," said one fan. "Gave me goosebumps!" exclaimed another. Of course, her former NFL husband Eric Decker left Jessie a message that simply says, "Damnnnnnnnn🙌🙌🙌."
The singer, clothing brand founder, New York Times best-selling author, and mother of three made sure to document her time while visiting the Big Apple. After a family vacation to the Gulf Coast and appearance on ABC's Family Feud, Jessie shared a sunny photo captioned, "I ❤️ NYC".
Jessie's stunning performance and trip to New York City comes right on the heels of her successful release of her new song, "Should Have Known Better." The music video had fans' jaws dropping to the floor as she dances through the desert showing off her fit figure. Since its release on August 20, the song peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart at #6 and reached #5 on iTunes. Needless to say, we're thrilled for Jessie and can't wait to see what comes next from her!
