Charlie Puth and Sabrina Carpenter Just Dropped Their Flirty "That's Not How It Works" Short Film

Charlie Puth's TikTok account is filled with pitch matching, impromptu songs, funny duets, and now, a video of him kissing (!!!!) Sabrina Carpenter. Let's just say that this isn't something we had on our 2023 bingo cards, but we're definitely not mad about it either.

On March 15th, Charlie dropped a TikTok captioned "3.31 @sabrinacarpenter @danandshay." The dimly-lit video pans to Sabrina playing the game of Operation, using tweezers to remove the plastic heart. "It's not gonna buzz at all because I'm a professional," she jokes. "I always knew you had a tiny, tiny heart," Charlie banters back. The "See You Again" singer slowly begins to lean in towards her. As the piano intro filters in, the two music stars lean in and share a sweet kiss before the video clip cuts off and fades to black.

"IM SORRY DID I JUST WITNESS SABRINA CARPENTER AND CHARLIE PUTH KISS?!?" reacted one fan. "WHAT WHAT WHAT" "EXCUSE ME WHAT???" "HARD LAUNCH !!?" and "IMA NEED AN EXPLANTION," wrote other frantic commenters. Our other personal favorites include "THE WAY I SCREAMED" and a simple "how could u do this to me."

Charlie and Sabrina were photographed at the Spotify 2023 Best New Artist party in California, but the two have never been linked romantically so we're pretty sure this is a professional-vibes-only sitch. Charlie is dating Brooke Sansone, and Sabrina was rumored to be dating Shawn Mendes as several fans pointed out, with one comment joking, "SHAWN MENDEZ [sic] PUNCHING THE AIR RIGHT NOW."

This big collaborative project between Sabrina, Charlie, and Dan + Shay titled "That's Not How This Works" dropped on March 31st. The music video, shot in the style of a short film, depicts the rollercoaster ride of a couple's happiest and most heartbreaking times together. Charlie and Sabrina go from paint fights, birthday surprises, adorably jumping on the bed, and kissing (multiple times, may we add 👀) to screaming and crying after a big argument. Charlie sings, "You can't walk away, then come back to what we were / Baby, you know that's not how this works / That's not how this works."
