Fans Say John Legend’s Daughter Esti Looks ‘Just Like Her Daddy’ in New Birthday Photos

John Legend celebrated his daughter Esti’s first birthday with a series of photos that fans say demonstrate how she looks “just like” her father.

Legend shared eight photos of Esti in a Saturday, Jan. 14 Instagram post. “Esti Maxine is ONE today!” the “All of Me” singer wrote of his youngest daughter with model Chrissy Teigen. “She’s been lighting up the house since day one.”

In the first photo, Esti is pictured wearing white sunglasses with pink lenses. Other photos show the toddler smiling at the camera, some while Legend holds her in his arms. The final picture in the series shows Esti sitting in front of a cake that marks her first birthday with a single candle near its center.

Several of Legend’s Instagram followers commented on how much the happy toddler looks like her father. Fans have previously drawn comparisons between Legend and his three other children with Teigen: 7-year-old Luna, 5-year-old Miles and Wren, their youngest son who was born via surrogate a few months after the family welcomed Esti into the world.

“So we all agree this baby, like Miles, is your mini-me, right?” The View co-host Ana Navarro wrote in the comment section. “You & CT make the cutest babies.”

“Happy 1st Birthday Esti!” one fan wrote. “John, she's adorable ...she looks just like you!”

“She looks just like her daddy!” another fan added.

More than 2,300 people commented on Legend’s photos in the first 14 hours after he posted them. Some, like the comment left by How to Get Away with Murder actress Viola Davis, focused on sharing birthday messages for Esti.

“Happiest of birthdays sweet Esti,” Davis wrote, adding three heart emojis to her comment.

“Happy birthday to your pretty little princess,” another fan commented.

Much to their fans’ enjoyment, Legend and Teigen often share snapshots of their family life on social media. Last summer, Teigen celebrated their first trip as a family of six with a series of vacation photos one fan said made them “smile so much.”
