Brad Paisley and Michael J. Fox

Brad Paisley must have luck on his side, as the country crooner claims he "unexpectedly" and "randomly" ran into his hero, actor Michael J. Fox, while out and about over the weekend.

The two snapped a quick selfie before Paisley shared their impromptu meet-up with the world in a sweet post made to Instagram on Saturday, Sept. 23.

"Randomly ran into my friend tonight unexpectedly," Paisley, 50, wrote in the caption, adding, "And my hero. Love you Mike. @realmikejfox #cureparkinsons."

Fox, 62, later saw an opportunity to nod at Paisley's music in the comments, "Brad may or may not have checked me for ticks," he quipped, referring to the Grammy winner's single, "Ticks."

The snap was quickly applauded by fans happy to see the two enjoying a moment together.

"Two awesome souls together. 💝💝," one adoring fan wrote.

"So great to see the smiles. Love you both," added another.

Someone else cheered, "Outstanding people!"

"How did one 'randomly' run into the Great Micheal J Fox... Asking for a friend...lol," a different Instagram user inquired.

There were also a few jokes and callbacks to one of the actor's most memorable film series, Back to the Future.

"'When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you’re going to see some serious s--t…'" one quipped while another teased Paisley's hit, "Welcome to the future…."

Though neither the "Whiskey Lullaby" crooner nor the Golden Globe winner divulged any details related to their meetup, Parade editors did a little digging, and it looks like Paisley and Fox were both invited to the annual Governors Gala in Utah hosted by the state's incumbent governor Spencer J. Cox. The event also included a special performance by up-and-coming musician Cole Hartley.
