  • Kelly Clarkson performed a duet with a fan made on the Smule app, which allows users to perform songs with other artists.

  • The Voice coach recorded herself singing “I Dare You,” and artist Brittany Williams joined in alongside the star with her own cover.

  • Clarkson shared the duet on Instagram and fans loved the performance.

On July 23, Kelly Clarkson posted an Instagram encouraging fans to join her on the karaoke app Smule. The Voice coach wanted fans to perform her latest hit song “I Dare You,” so Clarkson recorded a video of herself singing the song on Smule.

Hundreds of people participated and shared videos of their renditions with Clarkson, and the American Idol champion even posted one lucky fan’s version to her own Instagram after it blew her out of the park. During the duet, Clarkson kicked off the first part of the song, followed by Williams, and at parts the two harmonize together beautifully.

“I’m loving all of the duets of #IDareYou on @smule! 🎤🎶Have you uploaded yours yet?” Clarkson wrote in the caption. “It’s available in six different languages, too!”

Fans literally went wild over the performance. “😍😍Goosebumps all over 😍😍” one person wrote, while another person commented, “I got CHILLS!”

“Incredible! Gave me chills and tears! Beautiful voices!!❤️” chimed in another. “Love this song and you two sound amazing together,” someone else wrote.

“I Dare You” was created in six different languages (English, Spanish, French, Arabic, German, Hebrew), and Clarkson said she's giving “extra credit” to those who sing her song in another tongue. In April, the singer shared a video of her and artists Faouzia, Blas Cantó, Zaz, Maya Buskila, and Glasperlenspiel singing “I Dare You” in various languages, and it sounded so amazing!

So, if you’ve always dreamed of singing a duet with Kelly Clarkson, now’s a great time to take on her challenge with “I Dare You.” Who knows, your duet may even end up on her Instagram!
