Fans Are Freaking Out Over Video of Usher Serenading 'Insecure' Actress Issa Rae

Picture this: you’re in Las Vegas getting serenaded by the one and only Usher.
It sounds like a teenage dream, but it was the reality for Issa Rae, who was invited on stage for an up close and personal experience while attending the R&B singer’s residency show at Park MGM over the weekend.
In the intimate video posted to the crooner’s Instagram, Usher sang “Superstar” to the Insecure actress, who could be seen giggling, holding hands with the singer, and singing along to his 2004 hit.
After locking eyes with Rae and singing to her directly for a bit, he then asked the Emmy Award nominee, "Issa, do you mind if I just sing a couple songs to you? Can I just serenade you a little bit?" before inviting her on stage to “flip the whole show up.”
"@issarae in the building!! #UsherMyWay 🍫 All Love." Soon after, the "Rap Sh!t" he captioned the post, calling out the Golden Globe-nominated actress and producer.

Rae kept her cool when reposting the clip on her Instagram Story, stating, “ "Show was amazing."
However, fans couldn’t get enough of the electric moment, noting how smitten Rae looked throughout the entire performance.
“Issa is like let me remain calm……and try to play it cool,” one fan assessed, while another noted, “She looks like she waited her whole life for this, and who could blame her..😂😂❤️”
Others were ready to switch places with the actress in a heartbeat, as another quipped, “Issa is all of us in this moment.”
Another joked that “Usher out here trying to start divorces.” Both stars are in respective relationships with their partners; Rae married Louis Diame last summer while Usher recently welcomed his second child, and fourth overall, with girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea.
Scandal alum Kerry Washington even weighed in, writing, "This brought me so much joy."
"Those Issa Rae Usher posts makes me want to get in the 1st plane to Vegas,” another fan added, and you should if you want to catch “Usher: My Way the Vegas Residency,” which kicked off on July 15 and runs through July 2023. It follows a successful 20-show run in Caesars Palace in the summer of 2021.
