Jamie Lee Curtis Just Reunited With This Former Co-Star and Fans Are Freaking Out

Jamie Lee Curtis loves to reminisce on her former movie roles. Just take her Perfect movie throwback pic or when she reflected on that one nude Trading Places scene, as examples. Now, the actress is taking a trip down memory lane with her True Lies costar, Arnold Schwarzenegger—and fans are going wild over the reunion and Curtis’ daring red dress outfit choice.

The pair recently reunited nearly 30 years after the premiere of the 1994 film to attend a charity event for the nonprofit After-School All-Stars. Curtis posted tons of fun photos to Instagram in honor of the event.

“‘Ya, my name is Ingeborg, I’m from Stuttgart.’ I LOVE the way my friends suit up and show up for the causes that move their souls and hearts. @schwarzenegger LOVES @afterschoolallstars and I LOVE ARNOLD! THE GOAT! 🐐” she captioned the post with her former costar.

Curtis wore a flower crown and a red and white Dirndl (a dress with a tight bodice, short sleeves, a low neck, and a gathered skirt with German origins) for an Oktoberfest-themed soireé. The star looked absolutely radiant in the snaps, and fans were quick to comment on the Instagram post.

“Looking fabulous!!!😍 These gorgeous photos made me smile,” one fan commented. “Both of you are just awesome humans! 🔥” another added.

A number of True Lies fans eager to see the pair on screen together again flooded the comments section, too. “True Lies!! One of my faves!!!” one commented, while another added, “We need a True Lies sequel!!!!!”

Fans aren’t the only ones looking for a sequel. Curtis herself said in an interview last year with Entertainment Tonight, “I walked up to [Schwarzenegger] and I was like, ‘Dude, why aren’t we doing another movie?’” before stating that she was going to call James Cameron, the director of True Lies, about the idea.

“I’m a good friend of Jamie Lee Curtis, and I had the pleasure of working with her in True Lies, and she was the most extraordinary actress that I’ve ever worked with,” Schwarzenegger said in the past of their work together. “I mean this is a serious, serious player that can kick some serious a**.”

It’s no wonder that Curtis is eager for a True Lies sequel—Curtis previously recounted the famous True Lies strip tease she performed, saying it was “the most badass I’ve ever felt on the job.”

She explained that there was “no choreographer” and minimal rehearsing. “It was a powerful experience that nobody else could take credit for—it was just me, the music, three cameras, and approximately 100 dudes.”

We don’t know about you, but suddenly we have the urge to go watch True Lies.
