Fans Forced to Defend Paris Hilton After Celebratory Clip of Son Phoenix’s Major Milestone

In January 2023, Paris Hilton welcomed her first child, son Phoenix, with her husband, Carter Reum. The reality star often shares photos and videos of her son on social media—however, insensitive comments left on a clip of Phoenix forced fans to jump in and defend her.
On Tuesday, March 5, Hilton posted a short clip via TikTok of her son, who is going on 14 months old, reaching a major milestone. "Look who just started crawling," Hilton said from behind the camera as Phoenix motored on a carpeted floor.
"Where are you going, sir?" she asked her son as he reached a baby gate and crouched on his knees against it. "Let's go back to your playroom."
Although plenty of TikTok users cheered on Hilton and her son in the comments, some folks couldn't help but point out their surprise about Phoenix only just hitting this particular milestone.
"He's a year old and just started crawling?" one person commented, while another TikTok user wondered, "He just started crawling? Is this an old video?"

Thankfully, Hilton's followers quickly defended her from the critics. One person pointed out, "People judging and saying its [sic] late for him first to be crawling now. Every baby development is different. He's Perfect Paris! 😍✨"
Another TikTok user commented, "People act like milestones are some kind of competition. I agree with you, he's perfect! Such a cutie!"
Yet another person shared, "My son never crawled and didn't start walking until 15 mos. He's 23 now, college grad, master's degree and a well rounded amazing young man. Every baby is different!! Phoenix is perfect."
Meanwhile, others joked that Phoenix will never stop moving now that he's mobile. "Get ready to never sit down again lol he's so cute," one person wrote.
"Get ready momma! he's gonna be running everywhere soon," another warned.
