Get well soon, Leann Rimes! The singer posted a health update on Instagram, and revealed that she's canceling some upcoming shows.

Leann spent the Thanksgiving holidays with family, including her husband Eddie Cibrian and his sons and parents. Eddie's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, was meant to attend, but she revealed on Instagram that she was sick and couldn't join the family. Then, Leann shared that she too fell ill during the holiday and has been battling the flu ever since.

Leann shared in her stories, "Hope everyone's day was full of love. Nothing like getting slammed with the flu as you're eating Thanksgiving lunch. It came on so fast, and now I feel like my whole body is breaking in half."

Leann continued to update her fans in the days after Thanksgiving, sharing that she was doing everything possible to recover, including resting her vocal cords; spending time in the sauna; drinking apple, onion, and cinnamon tea; and even fasting. Unfortunately, the singer will need a bit more time to get healthy.

In her latest update, Leann explained that she has been placed on vocal rest, and two upcoming stops on her holiday tour were being rescheduled. The handwritten note says, "It completely and utterly breaks my heart to have to announce that I will be rescheduling this weekend's shows. While sick with the flu, my doctor discovered a bleed on my vocal chord, caused by the violent cough that came with being sick. I am getting better, but I am unable to talk or sing...doctor's orders! I am devastated to have to do this, as there was nothing more that I was looking forward to than celebrating the holidays with you."

Leann's heartfelt words were met with understanding and support:

  • "Awe babe! So tough. Take sweet care of yourself and happy holidays to you guys."

  • "Someone’s health should always be a priority … thank you for leading as an example that is making it such! rest up & recharge friend!"

  • "Most important you get well soon. People will come once you're better. Your health is way more important ❤️"

  • "Sending prayers that you feel better soon."

We're hoping Leann recovers soon!
