If you have been re-watching Suits on Netflix over the past few months, you're certainly not alone. The series has circulated through the streamer's top ten list since it dropped on the platform in June, and it's been lauded by fans as the perfect binge-watching show.

Suits follows a fictional law firm in New York City, where senior partner Harvey Spector hires an associate named Mike Ross, who, while brilliant, isn't a real lawyer. The two team up to work on big slew of high-profile cases together, all while trying to keep Mike's secret safe.

In addition to notable cast member and former royal Meghan Markle, the show also stars actors Patrick J. Abrams and Gabriel Macht. Overall, the general consensus is that it's a very watchable show (despite all the legal lingo), which means you shouldn't be alarmed if you've already burned through all 134 episodes for seasons 1 through 9.

Once you hit the season 9 finale, though, you may be wondering where the heck season 10 is, and when it might be coming out. ICYMI: The final season ends rather abruptly (depending on who you ask), and no new Suits episodes have aired since 2019.

Below, Women's Health breaks down everything to know about a possible season 10, and what the series creator has said about a potential reboot.

What happens at the end of Suits?

First of all, spoiler alert. But Suits ended its ninth season (and the entire show) with: A wedding and new baby for Louis and Sheila, a wedding for Harvey and Donna, and Harvey's departure from the firm, per Collider. That's a *lot* to process, so if you're feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone.

In August 2023, Suits creator Aaron Korsh responded to fan questions given the show's newfound popularity. In one post on X, the website formerly known as Twitter, he addressed the Season 9 ending—particularly the fact that the last season had fewer episodes than its predecessor. Overall, it seems he agreed with the decision to end the series that way.

"When Season 7 was ending I went into the network and then [sic] said we’re going to give you a 16 episode season 8 and a ten episode season 9 to wrap it up," Korsh responded to a fan. "I was good with it and I still am."

Why was Suits cancelled?

Based on Korsh's responses online, Suits was not cancelled. Season 9 wraps up exactly as the show's creator intended. When one fan wrote to Korsh that the show "ended where it needed to," he responded, "I don't really disagree."

TBH, since season 9 ends with the main character, Harvey, literally leaving his New York City firm, it makes sense that the original show would not continue.

So, is there going to be a Season 10 of Suits?

I wouldn't plan on it, but never say never! Korsh seems pretty pleased with how Suits ended, and he said in a separate online post that there is no follow up season or reboot in the works.

On top of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Korsh also noted that the show would need network funding, and agreement from all parties to return—which is, in his words, "no small thing." It sounds like there are a lot of moving pieces, but I know fans would be psyched if it all worked out. Here's hoping!

What about a Suits revival?

Here's some good news: there's already a Suits spin-off! Pearson was a spin-off series that followed the original Suits character Jessica Pearson. Unfortunately, the show only ran for one season in 2019, but Korsh told Entertainment Weekly that he was "so proud" of it. "We worked very hard on that show," he said.

Korsh also said in August that he had another idea for a separate Suits spin-off (!!) about a younger Robert Zane, which he wrote that he would "still do."

Who would come back for a Suits revival?

I'm sure what you really mean is "Would Meghan Markle come back?" which, even the show's executive producer Gene Klein assumes is "not possible," per TVLine.

Still, even without such close proximity to royalty, it would probably be super difficult to get any former Suits actors together for a revival. "It was a complicated dance keeping everybody involved," Klein told TVLine in 2023.

Hopefully some more positive Suits news is on its way. In the meantime, you can watch the entire series on Netflix now.
