The Gargoyle King's identity has finally been revealed and it's...football legend Terry Bradshaw?

OK, not actually, but fans couldn't help but notice last night that the new reality singing show's contestant looks a lot like the creature currently wreaking havoc throughout Riverdale.

If you aren't familiar with Fox's new reality show, you should be. Basically, celebrities perform on stage in super elaborate costumes, disguising their voices. Then, a panel of celebrities try to guess who the masked singers are based on clues. Each week, the audience votes and the worst performer gets unmasked.

Last night, The Deer The Gargoyle King got the boot, and was revealed to be footballer Terry Bradshaw. Since the show airs right after Riverdale (though on a different channel), fans had the Gargoyle Gang and all of their antics fresh in their minds, making the Deer/King comparison all the more obvious.

Let's do a side-by-side, shall we?

Look at that photo and then try to convince me that The Deer didn't get lost in the woods, with nothing to do but play Griffins and Gargoyles, and after decades of playing the game and becoming the grand master, he finally emerged from the woods, ragged and looking to exact revenge on the town whose woods he was lost in? At least, that's how my Riverdale/The Masked Singer crossover fan fiction goes.

And I'm not the only who sees this resemblance. Fans of the show took to Twitter to voice their confusion - how is The Gargoyle King on two shows at the same time??

Someone call up Jughead and Betty and let them know that if they're looking for the Gargoyle King, he's busy singing country songs on stage for Robin Thicke and Nick Cannon.
