Fans Demand Answers after Taylor Swift Posts Cryptic TikTok Video

Leave it up to Taylor Swift to give fans exactly what they've been asking for, but somehow still leave them wanting more.

The queen of dropping cryptic easter eggs is taking matters into her own hands with a new TikTok series titled "Midnights Mayhem With Me." Instead of embedding hints in her music or social media, the "All Too Well" singer is letting "fate" decide what track titles from her upcoming album she'll be announcing and in what order.

In a vintage type video, the country singer sat down next to a bingo ball roller and a brown velvet backdrop. She kept things business casual in a white tee, denim shorts, and rust-colored blazer.

With 13 tracks on the unreleased Midnights album, Taylor's bingo-ball-mixer-thing managed to spit out the last track of the album. "Track 13 because of course!" she said. With the number 13 being considered a lucky number throughout her career, including it being her birthday (December 13), fate really was on the singer's side.

After bending down to pick up a red phone, Taylor revealed the track name: "Mastermind"...and then the video ended. Between the awkward hostess vibe and absolutely no explanation behind "Mastermind," fans were left with more questions that answers. They ran to Taylor's comment section to leave messages like:

• "MASTERMIND IS RIGHT TAYLOR"

• "Oh it’s so nice that Taylor named a song after herself 😍"

• "TAYLOR PLEASE WHAT IS THIS"

• "Pls can we change the album name to 9pm or something I cannot keep staying up till midnight Taylor"

Fans who were able to fight their sleep and stay up until midnight, got the full experience from Taylor's TikTok because being the trickster that she is, Taylor secretly embedded a snippet from "Mastermind" in the video as a special surprise to dedicated fans.

Soon after uploading, Taylor took the snippet away leaving fans shook and wanting more. "WHY DID THE SOUND GET REMOVED 😭😭😭," commented one person. "is the sound being removed an easter egg?" asked another.

The songwriter hasn't revealed when she's planning on disclosing the next Midnights track before its October 21 release date, so unfortunately, it looks like we'll be staying up until midnight every night to make sure we don't miss the next surprise.
