It's been a while since Megan Fox was in the news as much as she is lately, but this time, it's because fans are realizing just how much crap she endured throughout her career and how she was ostracized for speaking out against Hollywood's predatory. Now, fans are calling on Hollywood, the media, Transformers director Michael Bay, and Jimmy Kimmel to apologize to her.

Over the weekend, a 2009 interview between Megan and Jimmy resurfaced and reminded fans why Megan's career stalled years ago. The interview involved Megan explaining how Michael and Hollywood sexualized her when she was barely 15 years old on the set of Bad Boys 2. (BTW, Michael also made Megan wash his car as he filmed it for her Transformers audition.) She told Jimmy:

"I was wearing a stars and stripes bikini and a red cowboy hat and six-inch heels, and he approved it. They said, you know, Michael, she’s 15, so you can’t sit her at the bar and she can’t have a drink in her hands. So his solution to that problem was to then have me dancing underneath the waterfall, getting soaking wet...That’s sort of a microcosm of how Bay’s mind works."

After Megan told the upsetting story, the audience and Jimmy laughed, and Jimmy continued to make a "joke" about how all men apparently have those feelings toward underaged girls but repress them.

Megan was fired from Transformers a year after her interview with Jimmy, and her career didn't take off the way many thought it would have. After she was fired, Transformers crew members accused her of "blabbing her trash mouth" and called her "trailer trash" and a "porn star" on Michael's website.

This—plus several other instances recounted in various Twitter threads this weekend— pushed fans to demand respect for Megan and her acting chops and call on those who sexualized and portrayed her in a damaging light to apologize.

Megan recently opened up about how being objectified and not being taken seriously when she raised concerns caused her to have a “genuine psychological breakdown.” She added:

"I didn’t want to be seen, I didn’t want to have to take a photo, do a magazine, walk a carpet, I didn’t want to be seen in public at all because the fear and the belief and the absolute certainty that I was going to be mocked or spat at or someone was going to yell at me or people would stone me or savage me for just being out…So I went through a very dark moment after that."

Jimmy and Michael have yet to comment on the resurfaced video.
