Fans Are Convinced John And Abbie Duggar Just Accidentally Revealed Their Baby's Gender
Counting On stars John David and Abbie Duggar accidentally revealed the gender of their first child in an Instagram post.
A picture from the couple's gender reveal party showed pink confetti on the lawn, promping their social media fans to play detective.
John and Abbie later confirmed in a TLC Me video that they were, in fact, having a girl.
Fans of the Duggar family are freaking out after Counting On stars John David and Abbie Duggar shared some photos from their recent gender reveal party to Instagram on Monday, August 19. "Boy or girl, what’s your guess?? 🧢👛💙💗" they captioned the photo series.
Though there's an equal number of pink and blue decorations in most of the shots, their first photo may have accidentally sprinkled their answer all over the lawn.
The couple's fans were quick to play social-media detective, with one follower commenting: "All the grass has pink stuff all over it so I’m assuming a girl." Another said, "obviously a girl judging by the pink confetti in the background."

"💖 It's a girl! It is on the Duggar family page. Pink confetti everywhere 😂" one fan wrote, prompting confused replies. She later clarified to say the news was on the @duggar_updates01 fan page, which confirmed the news, linking to a TLC Me video.
"We are so excited to announce that we are having a baby girl. We knew the gender of the baby, but our family didn't," John David said in the video.
"The crowd was kind of split half and half," Abbie added. "I'm so excited about hair bows and pink dresses and lots of sparkles." The mom-to-be also revealed that the first trimester of her pregnancy was difficult, and she's started feeling like a "human again" in her second trimester. The baby girl will be John David and Abbie's first child, but a few of the Duggar siblings are also expecting girls: Joe and Kendra, and Josiah and Lauren.
