Fans Claim New ‘Fortnite’ Skin Is Ripping off ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure'

As Epic Games reveals and rotate out Fortnite skins regularly, a number of their releases tend to go unnoticed. This applies differently to the game’s recently announced original skin, Hana, which has been called out for its uncanny resemblance to Jolyne Cujoh from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean.

From Naruto, and Dragon Ball Super, to My Hero Academia, Fortnite has produced many anime collaborations in the past. However, Hana along with her Keleritas demon outfit isn’t a confirmed collaboration and was released as a Fortnite original skin. The design bears some comparable features to Jolyne's default look — from the striking chartreuse-colored hair, navy jumpsuit with all-over light green patterns, and a cutout design that exposes the midriff area.

Hana’s Keleritas demon form feature also resembled Jolyne’s Stone Ocean “Stand”, a ghost-fighter type of entity that’s unique to the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure universe. Meanwhile, its skeletal design bears similarities to the Killer Queen “Stand” from another part of Hirohiko Araki’s anime and manga franchise, Diamond is Unbreakable.

On Fortnite’s Twitter page, the dedicated post for Hana has been bombarded with comments from fans of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Some expressed their disappointment that this isn’t an official collaboration, many pointed out the design similarities and pondered whether this is a “JoJo-reference”, while others made memes about it.
