Fans Celebrate Tracy Spiridakos' Photo of Jesse Lee Soffer on 'Chicago PD' Set

Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos in 'Chicago P.D.'
As Chicago P.D. fans eagerly await the next episode of the popular crime drama, cast member Tracy Spiridakos had a special gift for them, sharing a behind-the-scenes snap featuring fan-favorite cast member Jesse Lee Soffer.
Spiridakos took to Instagram to share some cast shenanigans, writing beside a bunch of candid photos, "This is what happens when you leave your phone unattended around here…."
Many fans couldn't get over the first image, which was a selfie featuring show producer Brian Luce and Soffer. Since the actor left the show in late 2023, many were shocked to see him on set again, clamoring for confirmation on whether or not he was returning in some way. The other photos Spiridakos shared also included other cast members like Patrick John Flueger.
"Jesse on your feed again 🙌🙌," wrote one loyal viewer, as more fans shared excited comments like, "Is Jay back??!", "OMG JESSEEEEEEEE 🔥🔥," and "This is wonderful!!! Thank you Tracy for sharing these photos with us! 😍😍."
Luce also shared plenty of photos on his account, including one that showed Soffer sitting in a chair behind the camera, looking very professional.
The comments were filled with people asking about why Soffer was on set. Recently, Soffer posted a photo on his Instagram Stories, via Reddit, showing a Chicago P.D. sign saying, "Jesse Lee Soffer Prepping Director," revealing his role for an upcoming episode. Last March, the star made his directing debut, helming the season 10 episode, “Deadlocked.”
Many fans of the show hope to also see Soffer return on screen soon, especially with Spiridakos leaving the show this season. The two actors' characters are love interests, although they got divorced at the start of season 11. As a fan-favorite couple, viewers want to see the two get some sort of happy ending as Spiridakos and her character finally say goodbye.
