Fans Can't Get Enough of Jennifer Garner's Mom's 'Priceless' Appearance in New Cooking Video

Jennifer Garner's mom, Patricia "Pat" Ann Garner, is a pro in the kitchen.
In a new video the 13 Going on 30 star shared on Instagram, she teamed up with her mother for a "pretend cooking show" to make one of her "childhood favorites": "mom's chiffon pie."
To complete the task, the mama-daughter duo appeared in matching sweaters stitched with the same phrase, a quote made famous by Pat Garner, herself: "I'm hardly ever without buttermilk."
The recipe, which was taken out of a now-vintage edition of Southern Living dated 1989, includes eggs, sugar, butter, pecans, saltine crackers, vanilla extract, and "berries and/or whatever stone fruit" you wish to add, along with a few other common baking essentials.
The Yes Day actress talked fans through the steps while following the prep instructions, all while asking her mother's advice and gaining her approval along the way, of course. So wholesome.
"Summertime for the Garner Girls: there was always a garden. Farmers markets were king. We ate dinner on the deck my dad built. And for dessert, we had mom’s chiffon pie. ☀️🥧," she wrote in the caption, giving insight into how the dish became a household staple.
Continuing, she added: "Mom’s pie had an irresistible crunch:chew ratio. Just sweet enough, not a bit more. And the filling—peaked whipped cream with berries and/or whatever stone fruit smelled fresh at the fruit stand—absolute summer heaven. Perfect for company, but with middle-of-the-week ease, this Southern Living standard felt just right for a Pretend Cooking Show with Pat Garner."
