Ginger Zee

Ginger Zee is embodying a character from the Barbie film, and fans are loving her "perfectly weird and satisfying" transformation.

During a recent video skit for Good Morning America, the meteorologist stepped into doll mode, going full Weird Barbie for the comical segment. For the talk show moment, she rocked a hot pink dress along with a bleach blonde messy-haired wig and sneakers, even pulling her leg up into a heel stretch just like the movie character.

The transformation wasn't complete without a few face markings, as she sported a black circle around her eye, as well as some other colorful markings on her forehead.

In the Greta Gerwig film—which starred Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, among others, and became a breakout hit of summer 2023—Weird Barbie was expertly portrayed by Kate McKinnon.

On social media, the official Instagram account of the talk show uploaded a few photos of Zee in costume, alongside the caption, "@ginger_zee as Weird Barbie appreciation post 😂💕."

"❤perfectly weird and satisfying 🤣rockstar ginger," one fan commented of the TV personality's look, while several more called it "hilarious," dropping a plethora of laughing-crying face emojis.

Zee, herself, even left a note on the social media post, adding that she "Really was born to be weird Barbie 😂."

GMA additionally shared a behind-the-scenes video of the filming of the segment, which also featured Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan, giving fans an inside glimpse at all the green screen work that went into making the clip happen.

"The set vs. the final shot 🎬📸 but make it #OscarsonGMA ✨," the caption read, as the upload received tons of support from viewers in the comments.

"How cool is this!! YES!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," one wrote, while another agreed they were "obsessed" with how the production came out.

As for the 2024 Oscars, which aired on Sunday night, March 10, Barbie took home just one of its eight nominations, where Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell won in the Best Song category for “What Was I Made For?”

Elsewhere in the show, however, Gosling had a standout performance of his own while hitting the stage with a host of other Kens, causing the internet to dub the "I'm Just Ken" presentation the "greatest moment in Oscars history."
