The country artist had some questionable things to say when introducing Lynch at the Crash My Playa festival in Mexico.

Luke Bryan is facing backlash from his fans after what many deem was an 'uncalled for' introduction to the stage for fellow musician Dustin Lynch ahead of his set at Crash My Playa 2023.

Bryan asked the crowd to give his friend a warm welcome, according to Page Six, but the words that followed felt rather cold: “No one has drank more liquor, no one has vomited more, no one has taken more drugs, no one has taken more IVs, no one has passed more STD tests than this next gentleman," he says in the TikTok video captured by Country Music Fan.

Bryan then went on to assure the crowd that Lynch has “a clean bill [of health],” but the whole thing left a bad taste in fans' mouths.

Lynch didn't seem to respond to Bryan's comments as he jumped right into his performance, but the moment quickly went viral, with the uploader writing, "What Luke Bryan said about Dustin Lynch is absolutely uncalled for! Nobody deserves an introduction to stage like Luke did to Dustin," and including "#dobetter."

"This 🤬 I'm so glad someone else said it too! Drunk or not have more respect when introducing someone," one commenter agreed. "So uncalled for and Dustin didn't deserve that introduction whatsoever! Team DL over here."

"Wow! The disrespect! Shit like that 'taken more drugs' is how rumors get started. He definitely owes D-man an apology," said another.

Many commenters blamed Bryan likely being intoxicated for his poor choice of words.

Others defended him, as one said, “I think he was being funny,” and another pointed out that Lynch has been a part of the festival for years, with Bryan likely joking about his friend, though others refused to excuse him.

Neither party has addressed the incident thus far.
