It's no secret that Kelly Clarkson can sing absolutely anything, but the American Idol winner still has the ability to make jaws drop with her incredible talents. On her daytime talk show, she has taken on popular songs from every genre and proven her talents time and time again.

We love hearing everything Kelly sings, but country music fans have had a lot to talk about recently with her covers of songs by Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and Dolly Parton. She recently took on a Chris Stapleton song, and it got a huge reaction.

Kelly sang Chris's song "I Was Wrong" from his 2017 album, From a Room: Volume 1, which earned him the Grammy for Best Country Album. Kelly put her own twist on Chris's combination of blues, country, and rock, with her own powerful version. She filled the lyrics ("Girl, you know that I still love you/And you know that I'm so alone/I don't know why I told you that I didn't need you/Can't you see that, baby, I was wrong?") with her own emotions and soaring vocals.

The Kelly Clarkson Show shared the performance on Youtube, and comments pored in from fans of both artists. They left messages like "Kelly brings it every single time. You'll never see her sing out of key, or sing without emotion, the Queen" and "Her ability to turn a lyric into an emotion is incredible." One person said, "Ok, this is next level insanity. Again." A commenter said, "I'm a little protective about this song cuz it's my jam but OF COURSE Kelly nailed it!!! Amazing!!!!!"

Others begged for a Chris/Kelly collaboration, but, lucky for us, that has already happened! The song called "Glow" appears on Kelly's 2021 Christmas Album, When Christmas Comes Around. We'd love another duet from the powerhouses!
