Disney+ released the first teaser for the new series The Santa Clauses, and it is full of surprises.

Tim Allen is no stranger to the red suit. He's been portraying the jolly old elf since the first Santa Clause movie came out in 1994 as well as for the sequels, The Santa Clause 2 and The Santa Clause 3: Escape Clause, in 2002 and 2006. Now he's putting the red suit back on 16 years later for The Santa Clauses, an all new series on Disney+.

In the clip, Santa has an announcement to make: "For the good of Christmas, for the good of my family, I, Santa Claus, have decided to retire." He is met with a devastated response from the residents of the North Pole. Santa is looking for a replacement, and it looks like one of his candidates is...Peyton Manning? The former NFL superstar said, "Yes! Can't wait to rub this in Brady's face." Santa asks to hear his best "ho ho ho," but, for Peyton, it turns into "ho ho ho-maha."

Fans of the original trilogy unleashed some yuletide cheer in the comments section:

  • "OMG FIRST HOCUS POCUS AND NOW THIS?! My inner child is healed ❤️😍"

  • "BUT WILL MARTIN SHORT MAKE AND APPEARANCE AS JACK FROST!?"

  • "Tim Allen’s still got it! ❤️💚"

  • "Glad y’all kept some of the originals!! Tim Allen🙌"

Viewers are particularly excited to see one character return: Bernard! They left comments like, "BERNARDDDDDDR AGHHH I’M SCREAMING!!!!!!!!!!!" "Wait. Wait. Wait. Was that BERNARD?!?! 😱😱😱" and "Omg I’m crying. This is amazing. BERNARD!! 😍😍"

That's right, Bernard the Elf (David Krumholtz), who appeared in the first two movies but not the third, is returning, along with Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Claus.

The six-episode series will premiere on November 16 on Disney+. In the meantime, catch up on the first three movies, also on Disney+.
