Can you believe that the CMT Music Awards are right around the corner?! One of country music's biggest nights is back, and it's going to be a jam-packed event to say the least.

As the genre's only award show entirely determined by fans' votes, the stakes are higher than ever as there are 21 first-time nominees at this year's show. Co-host Kane Brown will be joined by returning host Kelsea Ballerini.

As the show gets closer, CMT has been releasing names of nominees leading up to the big night. Most recently, their Instagram account dropped its list of nominees for the coveted "Female Video of the Year" award and let's just say, fans had A LOT to say about the news.

It's been quite the year for new and established artists so it's only obvious that the roundup of nominees for each category, especially this one, is going to be a hard choice. Nominees for Female Video of the Year include:

  • Carly Pearce, "What He Didn't Do"

  • Carrie Underwood, "Ghost Story"

  • Gabby Barrett, "Pick Me Up"

  • Kelsea Ballerini, "Heartfirst"

  • Lainey Wilson, "Heart Like a Truck"

  • Maren Morris, "Humble Quest"

  • Miranda Lambert, "Actin' Up"

Do you see our dilemma here? We've got the CMT Awards Show host (Kelsea), the artist with the most CMT Awards in history (Carrie), and Lainey Wilson, who is this year's most nominated artist. With such a close competition of talent, it only took a minute before fans bombarded the post's comment sections to let their opinions be heard.

One person began by saying, "All very talented but if you're talking video content I would have to say Carly Pearce or Gabby Barrett," while another person admitted, "All are great however I would love to see Kelsea win it."

Carrie and Miranda fans duked it out in the comments as they tried to outnumber the other with their support by writing, "Miranda Lambert let's go she's by far the best of the group" and "The queen of the CMTs has my vote! @carrieunderwood," but Lainey Wilson fans gave them a run for their money.

Another fan wrote, "Sorry!! That’s too hard!! 😮😮!" And we couldn't agree more. Regardless of who wins, we can't wait for the night's performances and most of all: the fashion!
