P!nk is hearing from fans from every corner of the internet about her new music.

Three years after her pop album Hurts 2B Human hit shelves, the 42-year-old singer-songwriter released a new song without warning on July 14. Seemingly inspired after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, P!nk hinted that she was “heated” and wrote a song in response that would come out “soon.” She further teased lyrics written on a napkin and sang a few lines in a TikTok: “You can call me irrelevant, insignificant. You can try to make me small.”

Then fans woke up to a new single from P!nk, who shared a preview on Instagram. “IRRELEVANT Out Now!” she captioned her announcement.

Reacting to P!nk’s dropping a new song, fans immediately took to her comments section to applaud her latest work. “Thank you so much, for always knowing what to say and how to say it ❤️,” one person wrote on Instagram. “Nothing beats P!nk when she has something to say. Such a powerful song,” another added on YouTube. “Glad the haters told her to ‘shut up and sing’ because she did and she said what needed to be said and it’s amazing again! I love her! ❤️,” a different fan said.

Shortly after Roe v. Wade was overturned on June 24, the award-winning artist voiced her thoughts on Twitter about the decision, which resulted in divided opinions. “If you’re replying to my tweet whilst telling me how irrelevant I am….. hmmmmmmmmmmmm,” she later wrote on June 27.

Later on July 3, P!nk shared how she was channeling her feelings and responding to the comments — putting pen to paper. “When they tell you to ‘shut up and sing’…. Okay then,” she wrote alongside a picture of a microphone in her home.
