Millie Bobby Brown's movie Enola Holmes dropped in fall 2020 and it's unlike anything we've seen from her ever before. Millie plays Sherlock Holmes' younger sister who sets out to try to find her mom after she goes missing. But when her other brother, Mycroft, has a different idea for Enola's future, she must try to solve the mystery of her mother’s disappearance before it's too late. Not only did Millie star in the Netflix film, but she executive produced it as well. If you've already seen Enola Holmes, then no doubt you absolutely cannot wait for the sequel.

Luckily, in May 2021, Netflix announced that Enola Holmes 2 is a go. "The sequel is afoot! The adventure continues as Millie Bobby Brown & Henry Cavill return to the world of ENOLA HOLMES," the Twitter announcement read.

From trailers to cast news, here's everything you need to know about Enola Holmes 2, The Case of the Left-Handed Lady.

*Major spoilers for Enola Holmes below!*

When does Enola Holmes 2 come out?

It looks like we'll be unraveling another mystery with Enola this year. On August 18, 2022, Millie Bobby Brown posted new pics from the movie and revealed that it will hit Netflix on November 4, 2022.

We can't wait to keep up with the Holmeses in the next installment of Enola's story.

Are there any teasers or trailers out?

There's no official trailer for Enola Holmes 2 out just yet. But on August 17, leading lady Millie Bobby Brown shared the first official poster for the sequel. The mystery has already begun, as the Where's Waldo-like image depicts Enola, Sherlock, and seemingly Enola's mother, Eudoria, hidden in a crowd of people. "Tis who? 👀 🔍," MBB captioned the Instagram post.

In February, Netflix included the sequel in a teaser for the streaming platform's upcoming releases. Leading lady Millie Bobby Brown shared the Netflix movie preview on Instagram, where she wrote "Enjoy your first look at ENOLA HOLMES 2 along with some of the biggest films coming to @netflixfilm this year. The game is afoot ...AGAIN!"

The preview offers a glimpse of Enola running around London on her next adventure. In the clip, Henry Cavill, who plays Enola's brother Sherlock Holmes, says "In here, mystery marks extraordinary adventure," before Enola responds with, "The real mystery is why everyone's talking to them [the audience]. I thought that was my thing."

Has the sequel finished filming?

Yes! In January 2022, Netflix confirmed that production had wrapped on Enola Holmes 2. "The sequel to Enola Holmes has officially finished filming! Until it premieres, enjoy this first clue to Enola’s next great adventure," the streaming platform wrote alongside a behind-the-scenes video of Millie and Louis Partridge.

According to a report by UK news outlet SurreyLive, the film allegedly filmed across two locations: Surrey and Hankley Common. SurreyLive stated that a social media post suggested Enola Holmes 2 was filmed at Hankley Common from October 11, 2021 until October 13, 2021. Plus, they posted photos of "filming" signs on set, and in October 2021, People magazine also shared a photo of Millie on set.

In an exclusive interview with Seventeen, Millie said that reuniting with the cast and crew was super fun and an "incredible" experience. She also shared that she brought her dog, Winnie, and her rabbit to set where they ran around and entertained the cast. "I would be in my Enola gowns, which are huge and seven layers of fabric, and I'd have my dog and my rabbit in my hands," Millie told Seventeen. "I looked insane, but I was like, 'I'm a mum. Before anything, I'm an animal mum.'"

Who is coming back for the sequel?

Leading lady Millie Bobby Brown confirmed that she's coming back as the titular character in an Instagram post on May 13, 2021."I can’t wait to collaborate again with my Enola Holmes family! Enola holds a special place in my heart – she’s strong, fearless, intelligent and brave," Millie told Deadline. "I look forward to fans seeing how her journey continues!"

According to Deadline, Millie also returns as an executive producer alongside Legendary’s Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Ali Mendes, Paige Brown, Joshua Grode, and Michael Dreyer.

Henry Cavill is set to reprise his role as the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes, and Variety also reported that Enola's mom, played by Helena Bonham Carter, will return for the sequel. Harry Bradbeer returns as director and Jack Thorne, who wrote the first film, penned the script. Harry and Jack also executive produce the sequel.

At their annual TUDUM fan event on September 25, 2021, Netflix also announced that Louis Partridge is reprising his role as Lord Tewksbury. The streaming service also streamed his return in a TikTok featuring MBB.

In the video, Netflix's famous "TUDUM" sound is made with a dark silhouette on a TV screen. Millie asks, "Hello?" to which Louis shows up on screen while lighting a match saying, "'Tis I."

In the past, scene-stealer Louis said that he's ready to come back for another adventure as Lord Tewksbury. He even has some ideas for what might happen to him in the future.

"I would love to come back. I saw somebody commenting on Instagram saying, 'Wouldn't it be cool if we found out that Tewksbury had something to do with Moriarty and he was a villain.' I was like, 'Oh, imagine! That would be a plot twist!' There's so many avenues [we can take it]. It was kept really up in the air about Enola and Tewksbury's relationship. Is it friendship? Is it romance? It's a bit of both love, not solely one thing. Playing around with that and maybe it goes one way or another. I also want Tewksbury to have a little bit of action and to prove himself to be a bit more independent than he was last film," Louis Partridge exclusively told Seventeen.

However, there is no confirmation yet on whether or not Sam Claflin reprised his role as Mycroft Holmes.

What will the Enola Holmes sequel be about?

The movies are based on an already existing book series. There are five books total, so there are still plenty of more stories based on Enola's life that fans can look forward to. The first movie was based on The Case of the Missing Marquess, while the second novel is called The Case of the Left-Handed Lady.

Since the film will probably follow the storyline of the book, it will likely show Enola trying to crack a new mystery, while also hiding from her two brothers and Inspector Lestrade.

"Enola Holmes is being hunted by the world's most famous detective — her own brother, Sherlock Holmes. But while she is on the run in the world's biggest, darkest, dirtiest city, she discovers a hidden cache of charcoal drawings and feels as if she is a soul mate to the girl who drew them. But that girl, Lady Cecily, has disappeared without a trace. Braving the midnight streets, Enola must unravel the clues to find this left-handed lady, but in order to save her, Enola risks revealing more than she should. Will she be able to keep her identity a secret and find Lady Cecily, or will the one thing she is trying to save — her freedom — be lost forever?," the book description reads.
