Netflix's newest reality venture is a hilarious show about Jay DeMarcus and his family. Produced by his friend Todd Chrisley (of Chrisley Knows Best), DeMarcus Family Rules follows Jay and his wife and children through the chaos and hilarious happenings of their everyday lives, including the ups and downs of marriage.

Jay credited Todd for convincing him (and his family) to say yes to the reality show. He told Taste of Country, “A TV show wasn’t really in our thoughts. We had gone on [Chrisley Knows Best] a few times and had fun – they’re dear people and great friends of ours. But after a few episodes, they took us out to dinner one night, and Todd said, ‘I think you guys have a show’. He had to talk us into it, but as it unfolded, we developed a love for doing it as a family. That’s what makes it special.”

DeMarcus Family Rules is available on Netflix and features 6 episodes, but fans were quick to request more content from this charming and entertaining family. Here's everything you need to know about the show so far:

Who is Jay DeMarcus?

Jay DeMarcus is one-third of popular country music group Rascal Flatts. He plays the bass with bandmates Joe Don Rooney and Gary DeVox. Jay has appeared on Chrisley Knows Best and Nashville before, so he's not quite a television newbie, but this is technically the first show he's ever been the star of. On the show, Jay is a bit wild and crazy compared to his wife, Allison, but he always brings a laugh (or two!) to any situation.

Who is in the DeMarcus family?

His wife Allison, also stars on the show. She is a former pageant queen (she was crowned Miss Teen USA in 1994, Miss Tennessee 1999, and was Miss Tennessee in the Miss USA pageant in 2002), and brings an entirely different personality to the family dynamic. You may recognize her from her role as host of CMT's Hot 20 Countdown!

The couple met on the set of of a Rascal Flatts music video for their song "These Days" in 2002, and got married in May 2004. They now share two kids, Madeline Leigh (9) and Dylan Jay (8), who both also appear on the show.

Has 'DeMarcus Family Rules' been renewed for a second season?

Netflix hasn't made any announcements about the future of the show, but there's absolutely no question that fans and viewers would vote "yes" to more episodes. One fan said it best on Twitter: "#DeMarcusFamilyRules deserves a second season." Overall, fans are loving the hilarious family dynamic and have shown their support for the show on social media.

We hope these enthusiastic viewers get their wish!
