Ina Garten is loved in the food world for her warm personality and foolproof recipes, but it appears that we can also add kindness to the list.

While sharing a special Mother's Day recipe on Instagram earlier this week, the Barefoot Contessa was met with an unexpected comment from a follower. Although brief, the comment spoke to the author and television host's grace and generosity towards her fans.

In a heartwarming note, user @stawnicj recalled a childhood memory visiting Garten's specialty food store in Westhampton Beach, New York, when they accidentally broke a bottle of apple cider. Instead of being reprimanded for the mishap, the young Ina fan was met with kindness (and even a new bottle!) from Garten.

"I will never forget being in your Westhampton store when i was 5 or 6 and dropping and breaking a Martinellis apple cider all over the floor. You all gave me a new one- Thank You! PS-Love your food and style!," @stawnicj wrote.

The comment caught the attention of Garten herself, who responded, "I love that you remember that!"

The Instagram post generated nearly 300 other comments, including plenty of praise for Garten and the coconut cake with raspberry sauce she made in the video.

"Love this cake. My daughter made it for me last year for my birthday. Along with the delightful raspberry sauce. Its only rival is your Beatty’s chocolate cake also with raspberries," one person wrote.

We love a great cake recipe with an added slice of kindness!
