A Fan Gifted Adele a Shirt From Beyonce's Renaissance Tour

At the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, Beyonce's Lemonade was the heavy favorite to take home Album of the Year. Not only was Beyonce the most nominated artist that year, but the other nominees were Adele's 25, Justin Bieber's Purpose, Drake's Views, and Sturgill Simpson's A Sailor's Guide to Earth, none of which had quite the cultural impact that Beyonce's chart-topping sixth album (and accompanying visual album) did in that year.

The only other of those nominees that one could argue came close to that was Adele's 25. And you know who sure wasn't making that argument? Adele herself!

When Album of the Year ended up going to 25 that night, Adele took the stage to suggest that the awards body got it wrong. "I can't possibly accept this award. And I'm very humbled, and I'm very grateful and gracious, but my artist of my life is Beyoncé," Adele said in her speech. "This album was so monumental, and so well-thought-out and so beautiful and soul-bearing…and all us artists here, we f—ing adore you."

Adele used music's biggest stage to showcase her Beyhive bonafides, so it only makes sense that the best gift fans could give Adele is Beyonce merch.

And that's just what one fan did.

The Daily Mail notes that the "Someone Like You" singer was "gifted a sparkly Beyoncé Renaissance tour T-shirt by an adoring fan during her Las Vegas residency this weekend."

The moment was captured in a TikTok, which showed the fan presenting Adele with the shirt. At first, she was confused about the intention, asking the gifter, "Is that for me, or do you want me to sign it?" Once the fan explained that she had procured the Beyonce tour merch specifically for her, Adele gleefully addressed the crowd, announcing, "Look, I've got a bejeweled Beyoncé T-shirt, guys!"

Interestingly enough, Beyonce's Renaissance, the album which her massively popular tour is supporting, also represented a rematch between Beyonce and Adele for Album of the Year at the recent 65th Grammy Awards. That album and Adele's 30 both vied for the top prize, but both lost out to Harry's House by Harry Styles. His speech... went over less well than Adele's had with the Beyhive.
