Too often are pets returned or surrendered to shelters because they didn't acclimate to the other animals in a house. We know the introduction of new animals to current pets can be difficult, but if done properly it can happen. Take for instance what TikTok user @xtcexx did.
This TikToker shows what it was like introducing their new adopted dog to their single-child cat. The clip already has over 1.4 million views within the first day of being posted. We always hear horror stories about these introductions, but they did it right. Take a look!

Wow! This is seriously so amazing to watch! They don't have to be instant best friends. It takes time. And in this video, you see they had to let them see and smell each other through a door over and over and over again.

It's truly so important to take the time to make proper introductions with new pets. Patience is crucial during this time. Don't give up and bring your dogs to a shelter because they're already so overrun. Keep trying!
