Family's Efforts to Warm Up a Freezing Newborn Calf Are So Heartwarming

Even the baby chipped in to help the calf.

As a cow owner, @thatminicowlady is used to all kinds of surprises. After all, she can't be with her animals every second of every day! When she woke up to see one new calf in the herd, though, she and her family wasted no time going to meet her.

When they saw the little one up close, though, they noticed just how cold she was. Luckily, everyone in the family was ready to spring into action to help her!

How precious is she? We just adore the little one and her relaxed attitude throughout her first morning, but we love Katie and her family even more. They went out of their way for an animal who needed a hand, and that's priceless.

"Oh, sweet Baby Moo! Welcome to the world," wrote commenter @gardenbun. Isn't she precious? Her mama, Millie, seems just as proud to meet her as Katie does! It's clear she was giving her baby girl a good cleaning with that giant tongue of hers.

"Why did you take her from the mother?" asked @brittanyfloyd96. That's a great question! From the video alone it's hard to tell just how cold this little calf was. Katie replied, "So she was frozen to the ground and was not regulating her body heat. We took her inside, warmed her up, and got her right to her MaMa Millie to nurse." You are her heroes!

We loved @alli_with_an_i_22's comment, too: "I love the little helper!" Katie's child is a natural when it comes to helping animals, and we wouldn't be surprised if he grows up to be a veterinarian or animal rescuer. It turns out there were two adorable babies in this video!
