Family-friendly restaurant with Upper Midwest ties coming to Cape Coral in 2024

Lucky’s 13 Pub, a popular Upper Midwest pub and eatery, is coming to Cape Coral.

Scheduled to open in the fall 2024, it will be the first location in the state for the family-friendly rustic-style restaurant.

“I love this community and spend so much time in this part of Southwest Florida, specifically Cape Coral, that this was the first place I thought of when looking to expand,” Lucky’s 13 Pub founder Charlie Burrows said in a news release. “I think Lucky’s will be a great addition to the local bar and restaurant scene and a familiar name to Midwestern transplants.”

After extensive renovations in the coming months, it will occupy the former Pizza Hut space (from 2003 to 2020) at 3902 Del Prado Blvd. S, just south of Mexico Lindo Restaurant. According to the release, a 3,500-foot addition “will include indoor-outdoor seating, a second bar area, bocce ball courts, plus a stage for live performances.”

Future customers can expect scratch-made pub fare — from wings, nachos and pretzels for starters to soups, salads, hand-crafted sandwiches and, of course, burgers. There are also Asian-inspired dishes (including sushi), Tex-Mex and Italian offerings, plus daily and monthly specials. There’s also a kids menu and free children’s toy chest.

On its extensive drink menu, Lucky’s 13 is known for its “infamous bloody marys” that come in traditional, bacon, jalapeno or horseradish flavors or enhanced with a BLT sandwich garnish.

The Cape Coral eatery will be the ninth Lucky’s 13 Pub location since the first opened in Mendota, Minnesota, in 2007. Other locations include five in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, one each in Fargo and Bismarck, North Dakota, and a partner one in Spearfish, South Dakota.

Lucky’s 13 Pub is owned by Minnesota-based, Eclectic Culinary Concepts.
