It's safe to say Steve Harvey is so successful, and if you ask him how he got to where he is, he'll point to one special person: his wife Marjorie.

The Family Feud host recently was honored at TheGrio Awards on November 25, where he received the Television Icon Award for his decades of work in Hollywood. As he went onstage to make his acceptance speech, he used the moment to shine light on the true reason behind everything he's garnered in life. As the camera panned to his wife, Marjorie, he couldn't help but make a romantic declaration about how she's been by his side through the highs and lows in life.

"That woman right there, she's been down with me like four flat tires," he emotionally told the audience in a video that was uploaded on X (formerly known as Twitter). "That woman right there has been faithful to me, loyal to me. 85% of what y'all up here talking to me about happened after I married that girl right there."

He continued: "We've been 18 years strong — I don't know what y'all been trying to do, but we're covered though... Imma give this to you. I love you, Marjorie Harvey. I appreciate you riding with me."

When fans caught wind of the sentimental message, they immediately showered him with words of appreciation for how he honored her in public.

"I teared up watching this! I love Steve," one person wrote on X. "That's what I'm talking about!! Much 💕 to your family!!" another declared. "Love this! Steve is the real deal! Love him. He’s showing he 💯 loves his wife! What an awesome man. ❤️," a different follower added.

We aren't surprised by what Steve did, especially after we spoke with him in 2022, when, for our July/August issue, he collaborated with Good Housekeeping on a special love letter to Marjorie.

"You gave me something I never had before in my life as an adult. You gave me peace," he said. "I owe you a debt of gratitude because you simply changed my life. If people get tired of hearing me say that, that’s OK. It doesn’t change the facts. You are the single biggest reason outside of God’s grace that I am where I am today. You’re the one. I feel like if I lost everything, you’d stay with me and we’d build it up again. As a matter of fact, I know you would."
