Fall in love with these Valentine’s Day recipes on TikTok

You don’t need to head to a fancy restaurant for a successful Valentine’s Day. Sharing an intimate meal at home with your nearest and dearest is a wonderful way to express your love. From breadsticks in the shape of hearts to pepperoni in the shape of roses, Valentine’s Day recipes are taking over TikTok. Here are five simple Valentine’s Day recipes to please your stomach and your heart!

1. Heart-shaped breadsticks with marinara sauce

This recipe puts a new twist on an old classic. Begin by making the dough from warm water, yeast, sugar, olive oil, salt and all-purpose flour. Next, knead the dough and let it rise. Then flatten out portions of the dough, and roll each one into logs before twisting them into heart shapes. Brush each heart-shaped piece of dough with butter before baking. Once they’re out of the oven, brush them with garlic parsley butter. Serve with your favorite marinara sauce.

2. Chocolate-covered cheesecake strawberries

These bite-sized treats consist of a “berry” tasty combination of desserts. First, slice off the ends of each strawberry, and carve out the middle. Next, cut off the tips of the strawberries so they can stand on their own. Dip the strawberries in melted chocolate. Then use a piping bag to fill them with cheesecake filling. Top with a sprinkling of crushed graham crackers and enjoy!

3. Heart-shaped chili sauce and grape jelly meatballs

This recipe features a sweet and savory fusion of flavors. Begin by combining ground beef with shredded onions, one egg and panko breadcrumbs. Next, add the seasoned meat to a silicone mold with heart-shaped compartments before baking at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. Then add chili sauce, grape jelly and the meatball hearts to a lined slow cooker. Slow cook on high for two hours before serving.

4. Pizza roses

This recipe features an edible arrangement of roses. Start by placing thin crust pizza dough onto a baking sheet. Next, cut the dough into strips. Cover each strip with pizza sauce, shredded cheese and pepperoni slices. Fold the bottom edge of the long side of the dough up toward the pepperoni. Then, starting from the short end, roll the dough over the ingredients to form a rose. Bake the “roses” in a muffin tray at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

5. Heart-shaped churros

What sweeter way to share the love than with a churro shaped like a heart? Begin making the dough by combining water, sugar, unsalted butter, salt, flour and eggs. Next, form the dough into hearts using a piping bag before frying them in vegetable oil until golden brown. Finally, cover the churros in a mix of cinnamon and sugar. Serve with caramel or chocolate sauce and enjoy!
