Fall Fiesta Bridal Shower for Blogger Bride, Gabi!

Yes, indeed... let's taco 'bout it! If you're my kinda gal (and obviously Gabi's kinda gal), you love a taco/Corona situation so naturally I was blown away by this super fun bridal shower idea, planned by Kelly Golia! In a departure from the more traditional bridal shower, guests were greeted with bright pops of color and an autumnal spin on this tropical vibe. You can go ahead and consider me obsessed with these fun pics by K. Engel Photography...

From Event Planner Kelly Golia... My dear friend Gabi (a SMP Blogger Bride) is getting married (!!!), and I recently got to serve double duty as bridesmaid and event designer as we planned her taco-inspired bridal fiesta! Gabi loves tacos, so it seemed like the perfect treat to inspire her special day. The entire day was captured perfectly by Kendra of K. Engel Photography, and florals from Bloom 52 brought the tented backyard soiree to life.

Each guest was greeted by their name handwritten beautifully on terra cotta pieces by Molly Grace Makes, and had a blast participating in a DIY flower crown bar (another brilliant idea by Katie of Bloom 52)! A build-your-own taco bar from Loco Taqueria was as yummy as it sounds, and we topped off lunch with homemade churro-flavored mini cheesecakes in honor of the bride-to-be’s favorite dessert.

A taco wall by yours truly displayed taco samples, and the cherry on top of the entire space was the flawless balloon installation by Boston Balloon Factory. While tacos were the main inspiration for all of the decor, we wanted to stray from the typical “tropical” theme that usually is associated with our favorite food. So we swapped monstera leaves for pampas grass and straw flower to give the day a more fall-like flare. And can we talk about those dahlias? Sourced locally and perfection in every. Single. Way. I absolutely love how the warm, colorful petals complemented the blue and white striped linens so wonderfully (another Gabi staple - the girl loves her blue and white stripes!). And when even the food becomes part of the decor, like the way the color of those corn chips tie in so seamlessly, you know you’ve got a real fiesta on your hands. It was a perfect late September day for our sweet bride, and we can’t wait to celebrate her wedding day in November!
