As an important anniversary for her music approaches, Faith Hill is looking back at how she got her start.
The country star, 55, took to Instagram this week to mark a major milestone for her hit song "This Kiss," which she credits with the takeoff of what would end up being an extremely successful career.
Sharing a snippet of the music video for the 1998 smash hit, Hill announced that it's been 25 years since the song reached #1 on the country charts, where it stayed for 3 weeks.
The fans who have been along for the ride of her prolific career practically couldn't believe it, with many of them taking to the comments to express their astonishment at how many years it's been.

"25 years?!?!?!" one fan questioned in the comments of the post, while someone else added, "25. Not possible!"
"Hard to believe it’s been this long!" another fan wrote.
The "Breathe" singer also took the opportunity to look back on how the song broke her into the industry, adding in her Instagram caption, "This song changed the course of my career and opened the doors to so many incredible opportunities."
"I’ll be forever grateful to the writers Beth Nielsen Chapman, Annie Roboff & Robin Lerner and to Stephen Goldman for creating a phenomenal video that brought to life a land of wonder as brilliant as the song," Hill continued, before sending a special message to the loyal fans who have supported her through the years.
"I'm forever thankful to the fans for always being there and coming along for the ride, wherever it takes us," she added.
Hill, the wife of country legend Tim McGraw, met with an abundance of love and support in the comments, including a message from fellow country star Rita Wilson, who gushed, "What a song!!!! Still fantastic!" under the post.
Gigi Hadid also chimed in, leaving two flame heart emojis "❤️🔥❤️🔥," in the comments section.
